Ancien tambour à fente appelé "garamut". Le tambour à fente de village sert principalement de moyen de communication, mais peut également servir à rythmer les cérémonies traditionnelles ou "singsings". Bois dense, patiné par le temps et l'usage. Personnage ou animaux totémiques à chaque extrémité (ancêtre et oiseau). Entièrement décoré de dessins tribaux sur les deux faces. Beau spécimen en bon état général.
