Ancien tambour à fente appelé "garamut". Le tambour à fente de village sert principalement de moyen de communication, mais peut également servir à rythmer les cérémonies traditionnelles ou "singsings". Bois très dense, patiné par le temps et l'usage. Personnage ou animaux totémiques à chaque extrémité (tête de cochon stylisé et oiseau). Beau spécimen en très bon état général.
