LIME STICK

Fragment de bâton finement sculpté servant à atteindre la chaux au fond d'un récipient en calebasse ou bambou. Humecté de salive, le bâton enduit de chaux sera alors porté à la bouche. Chaux , noix d'arec (ou bétel) et gousses de moutardier forment ainsi un mélange de mastication servant notamment de coupe faim (salive rouge sang). Représentation de personnages zoo-anthropomorphes (hommes-oiseaux) et d'animaux totémiques de part en part. Bois. Vendu monté sur tige métallique.
