Bâton finement sculpté servant à atteindre la chaux au fond d'un récipient en calebasse ou bambou. Humecté de salive, le bâton enduit de chaux sera alors porté à la bouche. Chaux, noix d'arec (ou bétel) et gousses de moutardier forment ainsi un mélange de mastication servant notamment de coupe faim (salive rouge sang). Dessins tribaux gravés typiques de l'ethnie Abelam.
