Belle figure de culte de l'ethnie Kwoma de type "Nogwi". La Nogwi intervient pendant la troisième cérémonie de l'igname célébrant sa récolte. Cette figure symbolise la naissance de ce tubercule sacré. Elle vise à satisfaire les ancêtres pour obtenir une future bonne récolte. Cette troisième et dernière cérémonie est réservée aux initiés. Cette figure a la particularité d'être en position assise. Bois et pigments naturels. Soclage conseillé mais sur demande uniquement (30 euros en sus).
Nogwi figure from the Kwoma people wich got the particularity to be in seated position. The nogwi figure is used during the third ceremony celebrating the yam harvest. This third and last ritual is reserved to the initated people. Base really advised but on request only (30 euros extra costs).
