Très belle patine pour ce rare haut de pagaie perche collectée sur les berges du fleuve Sépik en Papouasie Nouvelle Guinée. La forme de la feuille est typique de la "pagaie perche", laquelle permet de pousser la pirogue sans que son extrémité ne reste plantée dans le fond vaseux du fleuve. Bois et peinture blanche. Vendue montée sur socle. 

Very beautiful patina for this rare perched paddle top collected on the banks of the Sepik River in Papua New Guinea. The shape of the leaf is typical of the "perch paddle", which makes it possible to push the canoe without its end remaining planted in the muddy bottom of the river. Wood and white paint.
