Ravissante statuette en bois patiné collectée dans la région des Murik lakes en papouasie Nouvelle Guinée. Représentation d'un personnage mythique. Evocation du monde spirituel avec la présence d'un oiseau perché sur la coiffe de l'ancêtre et du monde originel avec la représentation d'une tête de rousette (chauve souris) en partie basse. Statuette très finement travaillée. Patine d'usage.
