PIG CHARM

Représentation d'un cochon en osier, coquillages et fibres végétales tressées. Le cochon est un symbole de prospérité et de richesse prégnant dans toute la Mélanésie. La Papouasie offre peu de gros gibiers. Le cochon, source majeure de protéines animales, n'est consommé que lors de rassemblements importants ou cérémonies traditionnelles.
