Très jolie statue s'inspirant des sculptures de faîtage apposées sur le toit de la maison de cérémonie. Les sculptures de faîtage représente la femme première du clan portant un oiseau calao sur ses épaules (animal symbole de sagesse). La mère de la tribu est censé veiller sur son clan d'origine. Bois, fibres et pigments naturels. Fente ancienne discrète au niveau du bras droit (voir photo).

Beautifull papuan figure being inspired by finial roof sculptures affixed on the roof of the ceremonial house. The finial roof carving represents the first woman of the clan carrying a hornbill bird on her shoulders (animal symbol of wisdom). The mother of the tribe is supposed to stay up her clan of origin. Wood and natural fibers and pigments. Discret old crack on one arm (see picture).
