Les figures Minja font partie d'un culte de l'igname qui s'organisent autour de 3 cérémonies. Les figures yena sont utilisées pendant la première, les minja pendant la seconde et les nogwi la troisième. A la fin du cycle, les ignames sont partagés et consommés et l'on pense que la future récolte sera bonne grace à ces rituels. Ces objets ont de véritables qualités artistiques, picasso s'ent est directement inspiré. Bois dur.

Minja figure are linked to a yam cult that is organized with 3 ceremonies. Yena figures are used during the first one, minja the second one and nogwi the third one. At the end of these 3 ceremonies yams can be dispatched and eaten. People think that they will get a next good harvest thanks to this cycle.
