Surprenant masque baining en trois dimensions. Masque ayant dansé lors d'une cérémonie d'initiation de l'ethnie bainnig dans le nord de la Nouvelle Bretagne. Cette danse traditionnelle se déroule autour d'un immense feu riche en braises. Ecorce de mûrier à papier, ou tapa, tendue sur une armature en osier et feuilles. Dessins tribaux réalisés à l'aide de pigments naturels. Grande taille. Possibilité de soclage sur demande.

Batted bark of mulberry tree, also called tapa, stretched on a wicker armature and leaves. Tribal drawings realized with natural pigments. Big size. Base possible on inquiry only.
