Masque de protection Iatmul dit "Savi" censé éloigner ce qui est indésirable : mauvais esprits, maladie, malchance etc.. Ce type de masque de protection est placé dans la maison des hommes et assure la protection du clan. Bois, surmodelage argile serti de coquillages, dents de cochons (symboles de prospérité), osier, fibres et pigments naturels.

Iatmul protector mask called "Savi" and supposed to frighten bad spirits. This type of mask of protection is placed in the men's house and insures the protection of the clan against the evil spirits. Wood, overmodled clay with shells, pig teeth (symbol of prosperity), cane, natural fibers and pigments.
