Beau masque de culte Minja en bois dur. Les figures Minja font partie d'un culte de l'igname qui s'organisent autour de 3 cérémonies, chacune d'elle faisant intervenir un objet de culte. Les figures yena sont utilisées pendant la première, les minja pendant la seconde (symbole de la période de croissance des tubercules en terre) et les nogwi la troisième. A la fin du cycle, les ignames sont partagés et consommés et l'on pense que la récolte suivante sera bonne grace à ces rituels destinés à honorer les ancêtres.
