ANCESTOR MASK

Masque anthropozoomorphe représentant un ancêtre spirituel. Collecté dans le Nord de la Papouasie Nouvelle Guinée, et plus précisément dans la région de Turubu, région très peu fréquentée, à l'intérieur des terres, située entre Wewak et l'embouchure du fleuve Sépik. Bois présentant une patine croutée. Pièce rare. Vendue avec un socle de présentation.

Anthropozoomorph mask representing a spiritual ancestor. Collected in the North of Papua New Guinea, and more specifically in Turubu area, a region really isolated in lands, located between Wewak and the mouth of the Sepik river. Wood with crusted patina. Rare piece. Sold with a base.
