Rare planche votive appellée "Gope". Les planches gope sont exposées dans la maison des hommes et sont associées aux cérémonies d'initiation. Ces planches rituelles, exposées à proximité des porte-crânes, servent à éloigner les maladies et faire fuir les mauvais esprits... La chaux blanche accentue les dessins sculptés. Pigments rouges à base de palétuviers. Bois léger et pigments naturels. Une Trace de rongeurs en partie arrière.

Rare ancestor's board called "Gope". Gope boards are exposed in the haustambaran (men's house) and are associated with initiation ceremonies. Usually exposed near the skull racks, they are used to ward off diseases and scare away evil spirits. The white lime accentuates the carved traditionnal drawings. Light wood and natural pigments. A rodent track at the back.
