GARAMUT SLIT GONG DRUM

Imposant tambour à fente appelé "garamut". Le tambour à fente sert principalement de moyen de communication,  mais peut également servir à rythmer les cérémonies traditionnelles ou "singsing".  Très belle patine d'usage pour ce tambour présentant une tête animale stylisée sculptée. Bois dense. Monté sur socle. Excelentes sonorités.

Big slit gong drum called "garamut". This  drum serves mainly to communicate, but can also be used during the traditional ceremonies or "singsings". Stylised figure carved fon top part.  Hard wood. Used tracks. Exceptional tribal piece taken up on metalic base with beautiful tribal sound.
